Dear IoT Customer,
early October, we were informed that one of our suppliers for Cloud of Things, Software AG, suffered a hack of their internal systems. Based on both the information that was provided to us by Software AG and our internal investigations, we do not have any actual evidence or indication that our Cloud of Things platform was compromised. We nevertheless found it appropriate to keep all security measures that were taken in the early stages of this incident in place, ensuring integrity of the Cloud of Things platform and shield it from any unauthorized access.
Currently Deutsche Telekom are closely collaborating with Software AG to monitor the situation in order to pre-emptively ensure that services offered via the Cloud of Things platform remain secure and will not be subject to disruption. In parallel Deutsche Telekom IoT is working on a thorough review of the incident together with Software AG.
