- Hannover Messe: interconnected dehumidifiers and digital proof of energy consumption
- Transparent data for quick claim processing
- Analyze and process data at the click of a button
Water damage in a house or basement is a time-consuming incident for insurance companies. Repairing the damage can take several days or weeks and can result in a huge electricity bill. POLYGONVATRO and Deutsche Telekom are now taking dehumidifiers into the Internet of Things, providing insurance companies automatically with power consumption reports to speed up the settlement of claims in the future.
POLYGONVATRO is a global property damage expert. It provides businesses, public authorities, and private individuals with professional dehumidifiers to repair water damage. At the moment, this process still requires a huge amount of manual labor: assigning dehumidifiers to the right customer order. Reading the data of each individual device after completion of the drying process. And finally analyzing and compiling the data for billing and settlement with the insurance companies. In the future, with the smart solution from Deutsche Telekom and POLYGONVATRO, the operating data will be managed digitally.
DIGITALIZING OPERATING DATA
The connected dehumidifiers from POLYGONVATRO and Deutsche Telekom are equipped with a smart box and sensors in the extension cable. They capture energy consumption, temperature, and air humidity data. POLYGONVATRO stores, processes, visualizes, and analyzes this data with the help of Deutsche Telekom's Cloud of Things. Using an app on their cell phone, service technicians can easily identify the box. They first assign the devices to the customer orders and then download the data from the cloud. As a result, the complete operating data process is now digitalized, from the socket to preparation of the final invoice for the insurance company.
