Challenge
The lack of items was usually only noticed after the employees had to dismantle the construction site again. Equipment was only transported from one construction site to another by filling out delivery slips by hand. In the long run, this turned out to be time-consuming and inaccurate.
Solution
To solve the problem, the company, together with Telekom and its partner Syfit, began to attach Beacons to the items. In this way, their exact position could be determined using a smartphone. This information is stored in the Telekom IoT Cloud and shows locations, battery life and other usage data.
Customer benefit
Now, Otto Heil always knows where which device is. At the same time, they are told how many devices are distributed across locations. Employees save time because they no longer are required to write delivery notes. Communication is made easier, and periods of use can be billed precisely through the ERP connection. The inventory is also more time-efficient and easier.
