As Europe’s leading telecommunications provider, Deutsche Telekom meets all the requirements needed to master the complexity of global IoT projects. While ongoing crises present ever greater challenges to international companies, a functioning IoT project already requires them to work with a multitude of providers – all using different contracts, interfaces, service level agreements, and customer supports. What these companies need is an international connector that removes any complexity. Building on our transatlantic network, we are developing tomorrow’s connectivity and providing solutions that simplify and drive your business forward – no matter where you operate.

We are the global IoT connector

Get global IoT connectivity – with one partner, one contact for service, and consistent SLAs worldwide. Not only do we operate our own networks in Europe and the USA, but we also have roaming agreements with over 600 selected mobile providers around the world, including the mobile network standards NB-IoT, LTE-M, LTE and 5G.

Satellite IoT technology rounds off our offering for reliable global coverage, as it enables a reliable connection even in remote areas and across national borders.

More about Satellite IoT

The suitable network technology for every project

Illustration Anwendungsfall NB-IoT: Intelligente Sensoren

NB-IoT

NB-IoT can only transmit small amounts of data, but offers very long battery runtimes, excellent building penetration and cost-effective networking – ideal for smart sensors that measure fill levels or power consumption.

LTE-M

The LTE-M standard offers bandwidth for medium data volumes on cost-effective hardware and sufficient battery life for long deployments without a power supply – for example, for monitoring cold chains in logistics.

4G & 5G

For IoT applications with high data requirements, such as VR glasses, you should opt for 4G technology. If you also need extremely fast response times, for example for self-driving vehicles, you should opt for 5G.

Unprecedented opportunities via global IoT networking
