Challenge

With the expansion of production areas in Hoyerswerda, YADOS faced the challenge of reliably securing its extensive company premises. Alternatives to the classic security guard were required due to the doubled area. Increasing staff or an alternative all-round video surveillance threatened to exceed the budget.

Solution

YADOS opted for a digital security concept based on fully automated drone surveillance and intelligent sensor technology. Sensors and cameras monitor the outdoor area and report suspicious activities in real time via Deutsche Telekom’s mobile network. An AI cloud platform analyzes the data and activates a drone if necessary, which flies directly to the incident location and transmits live images to the control center. The drone not only ensures a quick response in case of an alarm, but also performs automated patrol flights—keeping the premises seamlessly monitored.
